How can I made chat window in singleplayer game?

Curiosity question. Why would you need one for SP play? There's no one to talk to.

Now that would require an incredibly complex AI engine.
Imagine that, having a conversation with the characters in the game.

I could imagine putting a window in, would be possible, but comunication, you would have to hire an actor to create a script, and it would still be limited, short of having a AI added. IF you could do that, many would be interested, though I don't think it even remotely possible.

Privateer was fun where you could talk to characters. If you got to be really evil, even the Kilrathi would chat with you.

Seems strange that hostile folks won't reply to you in FL. They could at least say something nasty.

Actually Puke, they will say something nasty to you...but only if you're at best neutral with them..
They hit you up for your cargo...you give it up..but tractor it back in.
Or, the leader of a pack will make a snide remark about you when you kill one of his comrades.
