Help in Lan Server

Hi there...I'm a real noob here anda I've only been playing FL for abaout 2 or 3 days...but I started researching about it and Found this site =D Very nic indeed...so...I downloaded the mod things, the mod manager anda downloaded tha fun mod. It says for me to create a Lan server and I do but when I enter the game and go to multiplayer Lan, the server I've created don´t show up! Can anyone help me here....Thanks...

Just another thing...I think my game has this huge bug...when I'm doing the third mission after escorting the convoy to willard station when I'm supposed to land on minor california again it appears these 3 ships...but they just appear....then when I try to dock in california minor I just can´t. So I search the net for walkthroughs because I was totaly lost and I found one and it said that those ships were supposed to atack me...but they just stand there. I tried to atack them but since they are neutral its game over...I really don't know what to do.
I need help....
Thanks

Hello _MalkaV_

So you have download the Freelancer Mod Manager v1.31
And the Just for Fun Mod v1.1

Did you read the WARNING about you have to install the Freelancer SDK v1.31
The SDK is an exe file...Browse to and Install the Freelancer SDK in...
C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Freelancer

To play a Multiplayer game on your computer...

1. First you have to start the flserver.exe program.
Start - run -
C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Freelancer\EXE\flserver.exe
NOTE: You need a network card installed or have one integrated on the motherboard of your computer for the flserver.exe program to work...

2. Start Freelancer.
Click on Multiplayer.
Click on LAN.
The list should show up with only your server/computer showing.
Click on your server name.
Click on connect.
You should be at the create new character screen.

Have a blast!!!
Hiddy Ho!!!

By network card I mean a desktop card with a RJ-45 connector...
Just like a sound card or video card but a network card.
Some computers have one integrated into the motherboard.
The cards plug into PCI bus master slots on the motherboard of your computer.
So you may have network capabilities and not even know it.
They cost around $15.00 at your local electronics store.

If you are playing around with MOD's
1. Make sure you move or delete any saved games you have.
Previous saved games cause a conflict with your shinny new mod so they have to go...
Saved games are located at:
My Documents\My Games\Freelancer\Accts
There are two folders
One for Singleplayer
And one for Multiplayer
Move or delete the files in both of those folders...Singleplayer and Multiplayer.

2. Deactivate any MOD's that are active...Open the Freelancer Mod Manager and make
sure that no MOD's are active, if there are deactivate them...

3. Delete the Freelancer folder.
By deleting the Freelancer folder you make sure that you will get a nice new clean
install of Freelancer...that's what you want is a new clean set of files...
Freelancer is located at:
C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Freelancer

4. Reinstall Freelancer
Pop in the Freelancer disk and do a complete install...
Server files included...

5. Now you can run the Freelancer SDK v1.3
Browse to and install to:
C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Freelancer

6. Now you can activate the MOD you want to play with the Freelancer Mod Manager.

7. Start up flserver.exe
C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Freelancer\EXE\flserver.exe
NOTE: The Mod Manager has an option built into in to start flserver for you...
Wait until the FL Server finishes .....loading......
Start Freelancer.
Click on Multiplayer.
Click on LAN.
Start a new Character.
Have a blast!!!

Here is what the FLServer program looks like running...
