Code and I hashed the update over and here's the gist of what we think needs clarification and/or revision:

1. Why is Jake even bothering? Kress wanted Rob and Tanya bumped off. Unless he's a voyeuristic sadist....? The drama works, it's nice, but it may be timed wrong. Basically, what's Jake's motivation here in possibly permanently alienating Rob by torturing one of his associates?

2. Jake doesn't seem to think R & T are dead, which makes one ask what he plans to do about it. Also, what has Jake got to say about Tanya disappearing?

3 - to Wilde: Do you think Nikolai would kick up more of a fight? I know my guy might not, if he knows the people pointing guns are official LSF.

Yeah, I agree with Konn. and Nikolai would definitely put up more of a fight.

Mmmm... nice update, leaves me with the question on what's happening next.

I'm planning on posting this week (this week I'm off school yippieee!) but I haven't done anything yet. Maybe I'll do it timorrow, we'll see...

Okay, here is the reason for the torture in a nutshell.

Jake knows Rob is alive: he saw the parachute. Jake also knows that his chances of catching Rob now are tiny, since he's off the radar. So Jake decides to capture some of Rob's associates as ransom to get Rob and get him and Tanya off Mason's and Abbot's collective radars. That means that he has to capture some of the assosciates, but he knows that he cannot hide their presence from Mason, so he has to put on a show so he has a reason, in Mason's eyes, to have captured Konn et al.

And fools Kress too, apparently. Ok, let 'er rip.

Hmm... just noticed the two-three updates. Gonna be a lot of reading tomorrow.

FYI for everybody, I have an update ready to post, but I've decided not to put it up until somebody else posts an update of their own. We've heard a lot about Rob and Tanya - and, to a degree, Gabriel as well - in the last little while. Let's find out what everyone else's characters have been up to!

Mine is coming. Just have to edit in some more things due to recomendations from my draft.

Should be up soon, though.

Mine is up. I'll think I'll just be reading for the next few weeks though. A little pause can't hurt.
