That's, um, impossible. Jake has, to the best of my knowledge, no way of knowing about the Omicron Beta mission. All the briefings were jammed, and outside of the briefings, there was no discussion of mission details prior to mission execution.
"Yes, and yes. I winessed the recovery while in my ship at Omicron Beta, observing from the shadows behind an asteroid."

Of course you are. I'm just very impatient.
Are you forgetting that he can hack stations's security cameras to view you guys? He is the best hacker in the Order, which means that he is probably the best one in Sirius, so he can do things most people can't even dream of. I'm sure Rob couldn't have plugged EVERY hole during the briefings.
Geez Code, do you have to be so nitpicky?!

My main problem with this is it strains the bounds of believability in regard to the possibilities of surveillance by covert networks. Yes, Jake could have followed Rob et al especially as they were busy on the BMM base and could well have missed seeing him.
However, for him to have known in advance the exact location of the convoys once off the trade lanes (hacking Ageira's tech won't work if the ships don't use trade lanes, which they won't in the Sigma and Omicron systems) is a bit much.
Besides, I doubt they have security cameras in bars of all places.

Networks and contacts. Perhaps Lane Hackers? I'm sure they would sell infos on specific people / ID / ships for the right price?
If it's a cookie-trail, probably the best place to start would be in Bretonia..
I am now torn between the beauty that's derived from 'reaction' to 'pre-meditation'..

Ah. Well, we can just go with it. But it means that if Rob and Jake ever meet, Jake is getting shot, and possibly killed. That's not a threat, and it's not because I'm mad or anything. It's the only thing that can happen. From Robbo's perspective, Jake has three strikes:
1. He's LSF. Rob doesn't like LSF.
2. He followed Rob. Rob doesn't like being followed.
3. He's not bringing anything new, information-wise, to the table. Jake has nothing that Rob needs. (Or nothing he thinks he needs, at least.)
Now, I proposed an alternative ('cause, you know, that's what I do) whereby Jake sees (and records) the video Konn watches whilst in the bar after Cali. He then decides to see what information he can uncover about the cyborging experimentation. If he does this, it'll be two strikes knocked off. We can't change the fact that he's LSF. But we can stop him from following Rob and we can have him bring real, useful new data to the table. If he does that then I do believe we'll have no worse confrontation than a gun pointed at Jake's head momentarily. And maybe not even that.
It also helps to actually move the story forward and avoids messy complications and continuity issues.

I agree with wilde, and I think code's post above reaffirms what he said, best to run big developments like that past the people it affects before you post, it can conflict with what they're planning ect.
oh, and it seems I was mistaken, Nero doesnt give the nomads another name.... oh well, time to start thinking. My next instalment should be up soon...

Well, I think a "frisson" is unavoidable at this stage, regardless. So you'll get your excitement I just don't feel comfortable having Rob enter into an adversarial relationship with Jake. I want Jake on our side; he's obviously very talented and, in certain areas, possesses skills which surpass those of any other PC.
