vordicaldwarf, what about the Rogues as allies? They are allies with the Outcasts in the game.

Post Sun Dec 19, 2004 12:39 pm

Um Outcats are allied only to make profit since you banned cardamine they get less profit from you.

O yeah good point. Well I still want to ally with them.

Post Sun Dec 19, 2004 1:04 pm

Where is thier closest base to you? Can they provide any fighter support?

Post Sun Dec 19, 2004 1:09 pm

@ VD: I'm sure Triyun has been talking to you over email. What about an alliance? the Hessians, Corsairs, and Outcasts combined in battle would be an unstoppable force. A united front of the three most powerful pirate factions in the game would be apocalyptic for our enemies.

Post Sun Dec 19, 2004 1:18 pm

Maybe, but it would also be totally out of character. The Outcasts and Corsairs have ~800 years of animosty between the two groups and the Corsairs and Hessians have been fighting for god-knows how long over Omega-5. I'm not sure if the Hessians and Outcasts have any reason to hate each other but you'll need to work pretty hard to show how you've managed to overcome those sorts of obstacles. Besides, if you go ahead and make that alliance what is to stop all of the more-or-less legal factions from forming an even bigger alliance?

Edit: I'm not saying you can't or shouldn't do it but if you can do that then I'll try my damndest to ally myself with Kusari as well as all of the other Houses (regardless of the animosity that we should have towards each other).

@roc the reason I'm against you allying with Outcats is that I cannot ally with you then same applies to Hogonasho , Junkers and lane hackers.

Post Sun Dec 19, 2004 1:46 pm

well, of course it's out of character...but hey, last game the Corsairs allied with Kusari and Bretonia, the Outcasts allied with Bretonia and Rhineland, the Gaians allied with Bretonia too...

Edit: the great thing about illegal alliances is that all of your bases are hidden. Alliances between legal factions, on the other hand (e.g. Daumann and Kruger) are easy to find and attack.

@Chessalavakia: ok I understand. Besides, I don't think the Outcasts would like me too much after a ban on all cardimine.
