Since the issues in the other thread have been mostly resolved, I am starting a new thread for the re-do of the CYOF 2 RPG.

Check the main thread, you are no longer allowed to be the Freelancer's Guild. Only actual FL factions, PLEASE!
I am deciding this based on an overwhelming consensus by the other players. It has become a distraction and an annoyence.

Choose the BHG, or another, or you will not be allowed to play anymore.

Erm... this may not be the best time, but I think I may have found an error in the "only 8 bases per system" rule.

The best, but certainly not only, way to figure out the error is to go to the New York system and count the bases that would count towards the 8-base limit.

I have a small question...I'm assuming that I don't have to pay for ships built in capital shipyards. Do I have to use commodities on them?

Uhm, yes Wilde, you do have to pay for them, AND use commodities on them. The reason for having them is so you CAN build ships, because you are unable to build them without one.

Um, no. Eight bases max for less than fully populated systems. Ten is too many, imho. Obviously there are some systems that have more to begin with but that is okay, we'll just ignore that little detail, mmmkay?

Of course if Jacob says ten, ten it will stay.

Edit: I just noticed a wee problem with the calculator. Download the new version where you got the old one. Or, if you 're lazy, just click here.

if a system has more than 8, the extra bases dont generate credits. simple.

I am working on an update to the calculator that will keep track of your fleet. If I get it finished I could send it to you and see what you think. It doesn't affect the rules or the basic calculations but it is handy for people like me who need to keep a tally of all their ships.

Very good, vd. I'd like to encourage everyone else to take that sort of intiative as well. If you think you can make the calculator better then by all means do so.

As I believe I posted on the main thread, I found that the calculator does not calculate corporation bonuses correctly. I managed to solve the problem by changing the references to "B13" to "C13" in the freighter through train boxes, and in all these boxes including the cost and enclosing the C13 and the actual cost in brackets.

The end result is that, instead of getting an extra 4 Credits a turn for being a corporation, you get 5 Credits off every freighter/etc like you're supposed to.
