Freelancer: Aftermath, writing the story

No, not Freelancer 2.
But a goal to create a story for the next Freelancer epic. This is a community effort, everyone is welcome to suggest chapters, parts or even thoughts and comments. Best chapter will be added to the global story line and every next part must follow previous story line. Want to try your story teller talent? Special forum created and you are welcome to share your ideas!

FreeLancer: Aftermath,
Prolog

It's been months since last time I seen Juni, maybe years. Just keep working doing my job at mining posts, trading back and forth, few Corsairs try to barb but I stopped counting their blood after my first month in the job. Mining Guild gave me fast ship and i gladly dumped that Anubis, not to mention no one wanted to buy flying tank anyway. Months go by and I made my little fortune I lost in "Freeport5 accident".
Friends at GMG loved my stories about the blue guys, they call me "the story teller", heh no one believes me though. I my self starting to wonder if all that was true…

What is the story format, Diary Entries, Trent's view etc ?

Meanwhile, back on Liberty, newly promoted Commander Junko Zane is sitting in her office. She finds herself drifting back to the events of the not so distant past -- and the continuing threat of a return by the Nomads. Liberty, Bretonia, and Rheinland have been engaged in a project to utilise the newly reopened Dom Kavosh jump system and seek out undiscovered systems of the universe. The Kusari have opted out, following their near conquest by the Blood Dragons with their improved Nomad weapons technology.

But the thing that Juni wonders most about is that dork Trent! "Is he really gay," Juni thinks. "Or don't I turn him on? What's a gal gotta do to get a guy these days? I've got nice boobs, I wiggled my bum for him ... but the idiot never once made a move on me." Yes, it's not easy being a woman in a traditionally man's job, even if things have changed greatly since the dark ages of male chauvinism centuries ago back on old earth. Juni opens a copy of her catalogue from Frederick's of Planet Hollywood and starts perusing the erotic attire. "Maybe I need to change my image," she thinks to herself as she stares at a see-through uniform jumper.

Suddenly, her thoughts are interrupted by an incoming hologramme. It is from King. "I wonder what HE wants," Juni mutters to herself as she flips on the "receive message" switch. King's image fills the room as he begins to talk.

Everyday was the same thing, take this shipment to planet x, watch out for pirate. I was beginning to wish I was back in liberty, with Juni, King and Orillion fighting those Nomads, but the thought that so many people lost their lives to them was just to much.
Bretonia space wasnt that exciting, although it meant that I get to see Tobias on a regular basis. I even started visiting the battleship Hood in the Dublin system to place a few bets on the racer, but with no avail.
I was sitting in the bar awaiting my next assignment from the GMG on the planet New London. When suddenly news reports gleamed at me from accross the room. "This just in" it said "A fatal blow to the existence of the Blood Dragons has just been dealt by an unknown source, Lord Hakkera has vowed to go without rest until these people are found and tried."
I couldn't believe it, Lord Harrera had great political power and the entire colony knew of his affiliation with the Blood Dragond...."Not since the peace between the Blood Dragons and the Kusari Police and Naval Forces..." the news went on "has an 'accident' of this magnitude happened.
Maybe its time I called upon my old flying buddies to help the Blood Dragons " I wonder if Juni, King and Hakkera still remember me" Trent wondered. Maybe its time for me to do something instead of waiting for someone else to tell me what to do.

Comander Orrilion's Log, Entry 1406

It been 2 years since we have have begun surviellance upon the Hypergate. "The Silent Battle" as my pilots have taken to calling it claims lives everyday. Without additional support form the houses, and young, veteran pilots, the Osiris may be forced to retreat, or even be destroyed by a nomad attack. It is understanable that the majority of House budgets go to fighting crime, but they need to see the big picture. My forces are the only line of defense for the colonies at this point, and if the nomads break through, they will slaughter all in their path.

My wing commanders have put forth the idea of an offensive into Nomad space, and while i have been steadfast on the issue due to lack of intelligence, it may become nessecary to fully consider such an offesive in the near future . . .

Trent leaves the New London and heads to Leed. When Trent reaches leads he talks to Tobias. "Trent I have something for you I built it myself". Trent looks up and sees a ship of a configuration he had never seen before "What is it" "Its your new ship I call it Endgame it has the most sophisticated systems in the colonies" "How did you buils this" "Odds and Ends". Trent launches in his new ship and heads for Manhatan "Wait up Juni Im coming"

Luitenant Michael Armstrong.
Entry# 23.056/5

Today has been a hard day. I lost three good pilots against the Outcasts. They improve their skills each time we meet them it seems. And they upgraded their weaponsystems. They punch through our shields in just a few shots. Even Salamanca's can't pull that off. I heared about Nomad guns wich drain shields realy fast and no one has been able to understand their technolagy. But if the Outcasts have somehow found a way of combining the Nomad technolagy with our own technolagy... Who know's what else they come up with.
Well, I have one of their guns looted in my cargo hold. It's quite damaged, but I'm sure that our science dudes can find something interesting.

Commader Orillion's Log, Entry 1407

Well, what a sucess that was. After asking for more reinfocement from Liberty, i almost lost the support they do send. But if they wont help, perhaps someone else will. Perhaps the Outcasts or Corsairs would be willing to offer some assistance. Several of thier pilots have fought nomads, and apparently survived.

Meanwhile, i have some of our operatvies examining the odl Rheinland cloaking devices. Perhaps using some of the wreckage smuggled out of Rhienland research labs, and some salvaged parts from above Toledo, i can equip some of our fighters, and take a look inside Nomad space.

Captain Malcom Henderson , Captain of the the Bretonian Freighter, "Haddenham"-

We have been been travelling from our revenous with Samura reps on Kurile for several days, heading out on the long trip to Bretonia.
It's been quiet, far to quiet, on a trip like this this old ship takes a pounding, but we've seen no one.
Scanners indicated unidentified radar signitures yesterday.
There is something out there, but what.

Trent, neural log entry:

Man, things are just getting stranger every day out here in space. This morning without warning I got sucked into witch space and found myself fighting for my life against three Thargoid invasion ships, three of 'em would ya believe! And I thought the Nomads were tough. Lucky that I had enough fuel to jump into a friendly system and get back into the right game. I need a drink after all that, maybe a couple of 'em.

<Von Claussen, Personal Entry ID# X72N93>

This is my first entry since the return to Rheinland. I haven't heard from any family or friends since I arrived here three weeks ago. They seem to have all dissappeared, even my 4 year old son has gone missing. I contacted Interspace Commerce's Universal Inquiries and the home address on Frankfurt I gave them was apparently invalid. With no friends or family, and no sign of Jun'ko Zane, Edison Trent or Orillion, I have nobody to talk to. I frequently make visits to Bruchsal, but I have been told I am not welcome there. I feel so alone in this universe. Perhaps I'll take one of those Corsair assassination missions, in a Humpback. I think that's about my only hope in life.
