Any Other Tools?

Hi people,
I was just getting sorta used to how i could change some things with milkshape i.e. select vetexs to give ship nice took. Bare in mind ive never been close to creating a ship. I also have GMAX but i cant find the confirmation id thingy u need so that wont work. I've looked through GMAX website and tbh its rubbish, hard to navigate. So is there any other Tools that are out there that i can use?? or should i simply hammar GMAXs heads to get a ID code ? lol

Please help me

Ive GMAX working now so that isnt a issue but still, if there is anyother 3d modeling software, recomendations etc. please post it
