How do I use DOGA?

How do I use ships made in DOGA as ships in freelancer? I have DOGA (naturally) for looks, the new HardpointCMP thing, or whatever it's called to locate hardpoints, and Shipscriptor to help with stats and infocard. HELP!

You'll have to export the model in .dxf format and import it into Milkshape.

The problem is that .dxf does not handle texture info so you'll have to retexture the model.

if you use DOGA, no established shipwright will respect you, and neither will i.
anybody who plays with legos can build a decent looking ship with DOGA. try and get some experience with some better programs and then start making ships for freelancer

How many assholes do we have on this ship anyhow?

Just so you know. I'm a newbie to modding and everyone has to start somewhere. plus I told my 4-year old brother we could fly the ship we made. (ooh! low blow!) and how do you export in dxg or whatever the heck format you said? I have milkshape. Help. I'm not in it for respect, I'm in it for the good of sirius.

nope, milkshape is the only program that can export ships to fl, you can get a trial version at discreet.com

I started out using DOGA. It is an excellent tool for beginners and I would not be where I am now without it so chill Skystalker.

That said the parts used in DOGA have some glaring flaws that are exposed when you export them to other programs.

I would recommend getting Metasequoia which is an excellent free 3d modelling program that will further expand your abilities. You can also make custom parts for DOGA with it as well. I still use it to start my models befroe finishing them in 3DS Max.

Tightan Discreet makes 3ds Max NOT Milkshape. You'll find milkshape here
