a bit off topic..

I've just gotten Privateer off of an auction site. I've installed it but cant get it running. It says to type
C:
CD \PRIVATEER
PRIV

I've never seen anything like this and i have no idea what it means.

If someone knows, could you please simplify this for me. I just want to play the game!

Well, those are commands used in MS DOS, which you need to play Privateer. If you use Windows XP, than you don't have MS DOS anymore. But, there are several solutions to your problem and one of them is using the program DOSBox (that is if you use Windows XP). Click on the following link to download the newest version (you need to select a location to download from): DOSBox

OH...
How I miss DOS!!!
Windows was supposed to make running programs easier...
But now...
You can hardly run ANYTHING!!!
With DOS...
You could get Everything to work!!!
