Freelancer Official Site...

I don't know if this should even be surprising, but why is it that the Official M$ Site for Freelancer is so very, very much worse than this one?

I can get all sorts of good information, and probably better product support, from TLR than from the actual FL site. That's sad. Of course, good work to you guys, but... that's sad. Damn Microsoft.

And the page won't even load right for me... *mutter*

Uh, yeah. I just felt like complaining about that. Lock/delete if warranted.

Most of the time Fan Sites do have more info than the Official ones.

Basicly - we dedicate more time to it - a dev and a publisher don't really have the time (read money) to run sites like this one. I think the FL site is by far one of the better one on MS.com, and if you look at product sites by publishers, it is also one of the better, though there are some very, very good ones out there.

Yeah, I know... but somewhere in my mind, I keep hoping.

Bargib is right, over here we have the main group of people who oversee the site and then we have all of the other people who put their time and some energy into making the site and the game experience better for everyone, mostly through the interaction in the forums. The official site is....well the official site, where they put out news on the updates to the game and the best of the best news the pertains to the game... Here, we get into the details of every bit of the game...

The MS site is pretty good by official game site standards IMO...compared to others I've seen around the web...

Yeah, I kinda expected to find official forums there where people were discussing their problems, but did MS think to do such a thing? no...

Post Sat Mar 15, 2003 5:12 am

What, problems? In a Microsith product? Who would ever think of such a thing?

Post Sat Mar 15, 2003 5:44 am

I think MS should just *drop* their site, or just make it mirror TLR.

Thanks for the indirect kind words...

on the FL site.. there are links to TLR .. LHQ... and soforth since i suspectthey knew that places like here would be better for tech support since we've all played.. going to play.. (don't have copy yet) so we could help each other.

Well you deserve them Barg....even if they are indirect....look what all your time and effort has brought about...a great fan site that even the publishers and creators look to when they want to get something out...I don't see that too often in the world ya know?

Don't worry Phoenix....you get it in time...and it'll be worth it!
