You should also keep in mind distance though. Tons of people are jumping 6 systems which takes soo much boring time to get a certain amount, when I end up doing several 2 system jumps on constant trade runs and yield more money in a given amount of time...

Not to mention, the less time in between dropoffs, the less time lost if you're killed (where you have to start ALL the way over again).

Hye Love2Code.. did I hear(see) you say that there's a new version coming? I tried to find the post but can't... be very excited to get the new one

Just a quick question, is it possible to have it only show planets you already have been to? The game must store that info as a tag in the save game somewhere.

I just dont want to have the exploration ruined for me because it will list all the stations, if I've found them or not.

Agree - making it dynamically check only the systems/bases you've got current info for woild make this baby damn near perfect.

I agree, that would be nice. The problem is figuring out the Savegame file. If anyone has any information about cracking that sucker I would happily add that into the program. Heck, I could add a lot of functionality.

On a side note. The new version of FCC is looking good. I should release it tomorrow (Tuesday 3/18). I have spent all night looking at the data and found more errors than I'd like to admit. Seems that the web site I grabbed most of the data from was from the beta and not the release version. Anyway, I've fixed that, so all of the data *should* be correct now.

It's been a long night, and I off to bed...

Ok. I just sent version 1.1.0.6 to ElectricBrain. He should have it in the Download section soon.

I fixed a lot of bugs and implemented *most* of the suggestions that I received. I still have some ideas, but those will wait until the next release.

Enjoy!

Love2Code, your program is DA BOMB!!! it rox!! totally awesome ... but like you said, unfortunately the data you got was from the beta release. I just downloaded your new version and some of the data is still incorrect.

Example of two incorrect data i found was:
Planet Stuttgart buying diamonds for 660 (they buy it for 330 i think?) and Planet Baden-Baden is supposed to buy luxury consumer goods for 1000++ or something like that? .....

You can find the latest version (1.1.0.6) in the Downloads section on this site.

Post Fri Mar 21, 2003 12:23 am

Ok. So I made another mistake. Some of the data was wrong in 1.1.0.6 unless you exported the data and worked off of THAT data. Anyway, the new version 1.1.0.7 should be posted today and it DOES has all the right data in it.
There are a few more features that are kind of nice. You can directly edit the data from within the program, the information windows are floating, and you can perform an "anywhere" search, just to name a few.

As always, let me know if you have any questions or comments.
Thanks.
