demo restrictions

other than the one system and five ships, what other restrictions are there in the demo? When I was playing it it stops seemingly randomly and displays the "buy now" screen. I just want to now if it is supposed to happen. It usually happens after about 2 hours of play, or when i am around $30,000.
Thanks

Once you reach around 24k or 28k the demo will end. The demo is rigged for lvl1 only. There are a few "mods" or hacks if you will that allow you to play the demo longer.

I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I watched C-beams glitter in the darkness at Tan Hauser Gate. All those moments will be lost in time like tears in rain. Time to die.

they say u can get 5 "playable" shipes in the demo, but really there are only three. this is because the defender and the startracker have level requirments higher than one, and the demo shuts down when you reach level 2.

please tell me if you find any way you can acces these ships in the demo.

Hay Arcon...cool image!

You can fly 5 ships in the demo...you guys are overlooking the rogues, outcasts and junkers. If you are freindly with them..you can land on thier planets.

Arcon

In your player stats...you will see the factions you are freindly with and the ones who hate your guts. If you click on the ones who hate you...you can see who thier enemies are. Start taking missions and killing those who are thier enemies or sometimes you can pay a insider to hack your rep with them. I did that with one I was having a lot of problems with and it worked. Cost me 135,000 credits tho. Changed my rep with them from red to green. Now I can look for thier base and maybe buy a great ship they have and also...it means I can do some exploring in places they were kicking my butt when I showed up.

Arcon, near Manhatten and Norfolk shipyard look at the 'loot' icon on your screen. It should say "Supply depot" or something to that effect. They look like oversized 4 packs of Carling. Blow them up and your rep with the Outcasts, Xenos, and Rogues will go up. Junkers will be indifferent to you but you can land at Rochester base.

You're neutral to the Junkers in the beginning, your reputation to them is -3, but to get missions from them, you have to be around zero or better, I think

I cant find Rochester Base. Could someone please tell me where it is?

Post Fri Mar 14, 2003 12:16 am

can't tell you the sector now, but fly "north" of planet Manhattan into the Jersey debris field and check the neutral/hostile patrol paths, Rochester is where most of them cross
