Dread:
Whats that suposed to mean! Looks like some alien language or something. Maybe your a NORMAD!

Davynelord:
Right on dude! I think just about everybody copy's an Album at some time or other. Which usualy have the exact same Copyright Laws as games. So I agree that most people should get of there high ground, and release they also are just as guilty as the next person. Unless you really are a Saint! Who has never done anything wrong ever.

As long as there are programs out there to share shuff like eMule! People will always do it! Why pay £30-£35 for a game, only to find out it a load of crap. When you can download and test the game in full first. Then If you like the game. Go out and buy it! A copied game is never a replacment for an original. Because you get the manual, along with all the other Bits and Bobs. Not to mention that most copied games don't work when it comes to the Multiplayer side of things thats requires a Valid Serial Number. And not one thatys banned because about 10,000 are using. So again I say that no Copied game can replace the original disk. But there OK for testing purposes before you buy the game etc!

Test before you buy sort of thing!

I also have friends at work who have got the internet for there children to use. They come to work, and boast that there children download some Albums and Burn them to disk. Does this mean they have Bad children who should be locked-up! Come on guys were living in the year 2003. Not 1956!

PS: Get this "Warez" thing out of your head. I never mentioned Warez. "Dread did". eMule is a File Sharing Program thats works just like Kazza! Warez refers to websites that share stuff! Which I stay well clear of for obvious reasons!

I also think this thread is turning into a thread that does'nt belong on this forum. And is getting dangerously close to causing problems for the Forum Admins here. If they are reading this, and want to either Close this thread. Or delete it! Thats cool! I don't want anything I have posted here to offend you! And risk my account here!!!!

DREAD: Take some advice from me here mate! Remove that LINK above that you've posted. Because you could get this Forum, and yourself into serious trouble for posting that. That does infringe this Forum! And both you, and this Forum might get a nasty message from Egosoft if you don't. Because they do come here to read comments made!

Re: Ship Speed (and handling) - all ships = same speed!!! is truly staggering, the dog fighting is pretty good (bit too easy though, fixed guns would be better I think) but the speed thing is lame almost beyond belief.

Re: Warez, for those of us not "lucky" enough ;-) to live in the US. Do game producers really think we're going to wait 2 weeks - 2 months (sometimes more) to get the game when we're reading all about our US colleagues playing and finishing the game before it's even released.
I don't advocate piracy at all but effectively being treated like a second-class gamer sucks big time, and I would consider getting the game off the web until it's released over here, when I'd buy it (assuming it was any good of course.)

Yes I agree that the Dogfighing is good, and the speed at which it all runs is auwsum! But the Ships speed thing does suck bigtime. I mean, would you pay £200,000 for a "Farrari" that's only as fast as a "Ford Fiesta" that cost £7,000. I think not.

They accually got Speed thing right in Starlancer. So why did they goes back on this! MMMMmmmm. It's not as though they was'nt aware of this in-game feature!

I mean if you just spent all you hard earned cash on a Titan. And your shield are low, and your being chased by 20 Bad guys. I would exspect to be able to outrun then by going to full speed. Seeing as my ship cost about 500,000 more than there ships!

I'm in agreement about the lack of variance in the ships. That is my only complaint, if that's what you want to call it.

I love this game, and I'm comming into it straight from Tachyon: The Fringe.
