What is... the cry of a man who can't formulate a decent rebuttal against a logical argument? Am I right, or am I right?

Nah, nah, can't make me. ^_^

Feh, besides, as far as I can tell, I am following the rules that are actually posted. It's not my fault the admins decide to make up new ones as they go along.

Give me another chance to keep up with your level of intelligence? please?

here's a logic for you: you put that link HERE - our visitors (who are interested in space sim) might click that link - they might decide to buy it. Can you really say that putting that link HERE has no commercial motives at all? well might be just a little bit am *I* right or am I right? So perhaps there is a justification in deleting your plug after all...

Are we afraid of competition? no. But we despise sleazy sales tactics. If you own a restaurant, would you be thrilled if a patron comes in and borrows your phone to order a pizza delivered to your restaurant? then perhaps announce to the other patrons that they should do the similar thing because the pizza is way better than what you have on your menu?

Seeing as how I didn't make EVE Online, and I don't have ANY financial stake in the game, then no, duh. I mean, really, is that so hard to understand? EVE Online is simply a game I'm looking forward to and will be basically everything I feel is missing from Freelancer, and people just happened to be discussing whether it would be cool if such a game existed. So, I posted a link. Try to wrap your head around that if you can. It's not like I scoured the message board for a reason to push in a plug for the game. The subject simply came up.

Aren't you taking this a bit too personally? You're not protecting your business from unfair competition for the simple reason that it's not your business. That goes double for you, as you don't even own this website , much less the game. No, what you're engaging in is basically (and I've meditated on whatever to use this word or not) jingoism combined with a temper tantrum akin to what *might* be expected from a 3 year-old.

Sorry to say but I bought Freelancer ONLY because EVE was pushed out a few weeks. I couldn't take it any longer. I had to play something similar to EVE.

Needless to say I was pleasantly suprised by the quality of Freelancer and it is absolutely one killer game. With that said.... when EVE is released I can almost guarantee I will be shelving FL. Its just a sad fact. The complexity of the gameplay and the fact that you can have Capital Ships/Coorporations/Stations alone makes most of us extremely excited. Hell, I would think the FL peeps would be excited, this game is going to be truely revolutionary (I've seen it and there is no doubt).

Freelancer, for what it's worth, is a remarkable game that will definitely keep me occupied until EVE but as you can see from everyones posts, it isn't going to have the staying power to compete with EVE... pure and simple.

I challenge the devs to prove me wrong... if you can make FL better than EVE please do! This game is a major heavywieght on the Single Player market.
