kinda pissed at this game

I cant make money at all. i cant even explore. everytime i try to go somewhere i get jumped by pirates, they beat the living crap out of my ship, causing thousands of credits in damage, and i have to spend every single one of my nanobots and shield batteries just to stay alive, which cost thousands more to replace. I cant make money, ever. so i cant get a better ship, ever. so i cant advance to the next stage of the campaign, ever. I am very frustrated right now, so some advice would be appreciated.

Not sure if this works in Trading ( I am a bounty hunter ) but I have noticed the baddies do not seem to bother me going to a bounty mission waypoint. So...try taking a mission and then carry your cargo to a place. Might work well. Not sure how this will effect your rep tho.
I use this tactic sometimes when I want to do some exploring and not get pistered by the bad guys. But..when I am done exploring..I do the mission before I land.

Are you talking about the campaign? I am stuck in Mission 11 with the same problem. Since Mission 9 they gave me no time to make money. Every credit went into repair and batteries and I am missing a heavy shield big time.

Everybody who's not that far. never follow Juni's calls right away. Stock up some credit she will wait

Wish I'd made more money BEFORE listening to Juni's outrageous demands! I coulda bought AND sold Manhattan by now!

Elverath: you sound like your a bit pitiful at this game. Ive heard stories of other people who dont have a problem with getting jumped. One little hint, stay in the main systems. Like do small trade runs between new york and tokyo, just dont go to the border worlds. Stay away from rogue bases too

*If you have a cat and a dog in the same house, will that be a problem? Of course not, you might just have solved world hunger*

One more thing, you dont have to accept the mission from juni. You can hit decline and trade to get more money, then meet up with her later.

Go back to a previous saved game, decline Juni's offer to go on another mission with her and go build up some money somewhere...it's that simple..

I found a really good trade route. buy a clydesdale and take light arms from planet leeds to the durnham border post. with a full load i get about 10 grand profit from each run.

Yeah, it does sound like you don't know your way around too well. Heck, before I even took the second story mission, I had completely decked out my Defender and had $10,000 cash to work with. I didn't take the next mission until I had 60,000, and even better weapons. I'm actually finding the game a bit too easy for my tastes.

Just like it was posted earlier, it seems there are less enemies when you exit a base if you take a Job first then exit.

Actually, I get most of my money (and kills) by sitting in a place that spawns a lot of enemies, and pick them off as they appear, then steal their valuable cargo (cardamine, gold, diamonds, etc.). I don't even have to lane hack

Yea, before you get to mission 9 make sure you have a huge money reserve. I didn't, and by the time I got to mission 12 I had no more credits and very little nanobots and shield batteries. I ended up selling all my missles, counter measures, and 2 of my weapons to get about 12 nanobots and 12 shield batteries. By the time I ended the mission 13, I had no more shields, both of my wings were gone, one weapon was left, and 2 bars of hull integrity left. It was intense. I never expierenced such a close call in a game before. Thank you DA.

Oh and Elverath to answerer question:

Yeah, right before I started going on all of those longer missions for Juni, I hit a bug in the marketing Beta that gave me about 80 million creds (in the form of 40000 nanobots)...so wasn't a prob for me
