Friendly but attacks me??

Ok I currently have Agiera and Cryer friendly and neutral respectively. I have Republican as hostile. When I encounter Ageira and Cryer on their own somewhere all is normal and as it should be. However I went to one of the jumpgates and when I got near about 15 ships consisting of Cryer, Agiera and Republican all showed as hostile and attacked me on site without me doing anything. Why would Cryer and Agiera who were neutral and friendly when encountering alone all of the sudden attack me with Republican there? Then after that when I encounter Cryer and Agiera again on their own somewhere else they are back to normal. What is up with that?

Are they allied with republican? That would probably make them "assist"

maybe Republican threatened to withdraw funding and impose harsh import/export taxes and tarrifs on the other two if they didn't comply with them :p

Nope, niether Cryer or Agiera show allied with Republican. I just don't get it, maybe it's a bug.

positive you didn't fire anything? i accidentally fired a missile at bush...all hell broke loose and i didn't think i did anything... well i kida guessed it . but in my opinion what probably happened is that you showed the republican guys as bad and then they messaged the other convoy saying you were a threat...and they opened fire... that's only what i think though hope it helps

Well in a way it's kind of cool if they are neutral and friendly on their own but if around someone who is hostile to you they might get a hail to assist. Just don't know if this is true and the way it should be or a bug. Maybe they have a traders union and answer a distress call no matter what your faction is towards them hehe.
