save game files

I bought the game last night and played it at home. Today I brought the CD into work and my .fl save game file.

Installed it here, copied my .fl file to the proper dir, and loaded the game up. After I'm done playing at work, i'll bring my new .fl back home to continue.

Anything I'm missing? I did notice that the jobs that were avail on the job board at home are different than the ones here at work. Is that just because they are random or do I need to copy other files? Is it safe to do things this way or should I just play at one location?

thanks!

What OS are you using Carp? They're in your documents, but different paths for 98/me and XP.

Just found them ... thanx for the tip on looking in documents file. I've never seen a game put saves there instead of in the root directory for the game. Happy hunting out there.

I'm pretty sure the board missions randomly generate every time you reload a saved game....even on the same machine.

I do recall one of the beta testers mentioning that there is some measure of risk involved in transfering save games but I don't recall the details. He indicated it is detailed in one of the README type files (I think).

BG, true in the development stage, but should be ok now. Issue was moving save games from different builds which was causing problems. I think it's pretty cool they're in the documents rather than the root directory.

The missions offered & people in the bar will be different every time you visit the bar... in fact if you click on equipment room then back to the bar they'll be different...

---This statement is FALSE---

Actually, quite a few games use My Documents. Max Payne, Links 2003, Dungeon Siege to name a few.
