I also saw cargo retrival missions, but they are basically kill the rogues, take their special cargo, and return it to base/planet.
Also, destroy cargo missions. Where you do the same thing, except you destroy the ejected cargo.
Still not much variation, but a little different from just killing the bad guys.

What I'd like to know is what type of missions do you get as a pirate? Kill police? Hack a trade lane? Assassinate political figures? I'd like to know if the missions have more variety, or if they're just the same thing, but just from the other side of the fence.

No, there are no trade missions in the game.

So far the missions on the Corsair job board has been the same.

It's just kill Hessians, Bounty hunters, Outcasts and so on.
I was kinda hoping for a raid that cargoship or something.
