My two cent worth (suggestions and stuff)

Just some ideas that have been running around my head, about what i think could of/should of been included, or be added on Freelancer, so bear with me

Improve the jobs/missions available like

More variety (duh)
- Have excort mission, like theres a convoy of 3 mega freighters waiting to go from a - b, additional wingmen will be assigned, so hop to it!, chances of enemies attacking 10% - 75%,
but depending on the players level and the reward, have abit of vaiety attached to the mission like....
* a dodgy pirate version of a crusier/battleship, u know, big ugly, half the technology and power as a navy battle/cruiser, be there hacking your tradelink,
so you and your wingmen basically protect the frieghters, until the tradelink comes online,
* you have to pilot the mega freighter!, not much fun when you think about it, but still adds some variety and ...fun especially when you have to evade a dodgy cruiser and battleship, with dozens of enemy fighters taking on your heroic fleets of fighters and gunboats (all provided by the company employing you it would be kinda like a semi-interactive movie, bugger heading for the nearest tradelink, i wanna stay and see the fireworks!!!
* you can only be able to do the mission if u have at least one gunboat and or *this many* wingmen hired, as we dont provide/recommend u do this mission without backup.

Hireing - fireing of wingmen, they come with/without their own fighter, and since they work for you, you have to upgrade/repair/buy them stuff. It can come down to decisions like - do i buy myself a a new bewt uber weapon, or buy my wingman an actual fighter, so he can do what i'm paying him for....

Buy yourself a base/home, where u can stock up on ammo and commodities for later date trading.

Like prices of commodities fluxuate since its supposed to be a dynamic universe that is alive everywhere and blah blah blah.

So you invest lots of money into say, water, thinking that it will be worth $$$$ in so many game years time, and so you stock up bout 100,000 units of water and wait it out until the economy suddely demands water, only to have other companies and factions who are friendly to you, and have an interest/need for water like the agricultural companies approach you making offers for water, and depending on your rating towards them, you get a better price.
And the good thing is, they provide the transport so instant income....

like a said just some suggetions, i was in a rush when i did this and these ideas where the only ones i could think of at the time. I probally should read through what i wrote but i have to go out now.

Thanks anyways, i'll probally post some more ideas in the very near future.
like my idea for solving the pilotable battleship/cruiser problem of "what the hell is the point of having one?"
