Graphics???

I've been watching all the previews and screenshots of this game while it's been in the works. The graphics looked fairly good, although a bit blocky. But I was noticing in screenshots taken from 2 months ago in previews, and the game I just bought look slightly different. The lighting in some of the interior/planet shots looks much better on the screenshots then on my system. And some of the textures look better too. I am running

P4 1.6 gHz
Geforce 4 TI 4400

I know the Geforce 4's aren't directx 9 compatible, so could that be an issue? Or is there some setting/config file I can adjust to get it to look better?

Hmm I'm running it at the highest resolution and all settings maxed and my card is worse than yours, a GeForce 3 Ti 500. The game couldn't look much better to me, I find few flaws in the graphics. I didn't tweak my card settings or anything so not sure what to tell you.

If you turn on antialiasing you'll have a much happier graphical experience, at least in my mind.

Hey Zero, what drivers are you running? AND, are you seeing any nice lighting effects in the interiors? I am running the detonators 41.09.

Freelancer is a DX7 game so have a true DX9 card would not be an issue. Turn up your Anti Aliasing and Anistropic Filtering . Also set your mip map lod bias to at least -1.5
