..Freelancer is in! Off to buy it!
My parents hate my gaming habit. My sisters like playing games, but only ones like "Mario Party" and occasionally "Zelda." My girlfriend has the old school NES which we play every so often, but I always beat her at every game so she gets mad.
Girls just do other stuff besides games, so naturally they aren't too interested. They'd rather spend money on becoming pretty, etc.
*DISCLAIMER* This does not in any way mean that ALL girls are like that.

My wife plays the shockwave games a lot and enjoys the "Sim" type of games. I've tried to get into some of my strategy war games. Same principle - control people, build and army, kill mass amounts of the other guy's people.
But, she's not interested in it. You're lucky if your wife/girlfriend enjoys games too. Even funnier if she kicks your rear playing them too.

Phoenix out
From this celestial bough all but one did fall into the pitiless fires of reach.
A soldier’s ignominy to have dreamt while his brothers bled. But oh, for the rest of us his shame was our salvation.
