yeah ive seen it... there isnt any way around though and it claims that if you do navigate the mines, Liberty police will "shoot on sight". So overall, flying at a speed of 10mps or whatever the speed ratio is, and you have to go 20km to the gate, and if you do somehow make it through 20 km of mines, you get shot by the dudes on the other side...its a no-win situation. But its still nice to dream about what might be on the other side... maybe its the portal to the alien worlds...

there was another post here and someone had a nifty way to get around it.
but basically theres a clear path to the jumpgate and once you get there the navy weapons stations don't shoot at you. I just tried it, but i don't think it was worth the effort.
