Whatsup guys, havent been round here in a while, but i was wonderin. Didnt you guys like the original box art for the Freelancer package. You know, the one with a ship dwarfed by a huge planet overhead. I know it doesnt really make much difference but I think that box is much more mysterious and intrigueing(spell that right,naa but who cares) The new box just looks like something theyed slap on the front of an Indiana Jones xbox game

It looks fine. The old one was good, but it does NOT stand out in the shelf. The new one, however ...

I dont that was the official box art. I think that was just some quick thing they threw together.

I liked the old one better. The new one stands out to much, if you ask me.

Hope your right brain. The alleged new one almost looks like something theyd throw at my little cousin , I guess its okay when I look at it again. I still like the old one better

I'll be honest with you, box art has never really made a difference to me in buying any game. Most of the time I read reviews and previews beforehand. I actually thing the FL box is a little campy, but I know from the demo that the game inside is anything but.

So, once again the old adage, never judge a book by its cover.

I personally liked the old one.. but it somehow does not fit in with the game as does the new box art.

I like the box art alot, especially with trent in the fore ground and space in the background.

It could be a soild black box with the words "Freelancer" across the top. It makes no diffirence to me or really...anybody who wants to play it. Nowdays..with so many reviews and previews available on the net and magazines...and also word of mouth...a good game is going to sell reguardless of the box art.

Come to think of it...I like my solid black box look with the words "Freelancer" across the top. Maybe with a few stars spinkled.....

Though the question is always there, if it was possible to just order the cd only, how much less would it cost minus all the packaging.

i think the old box looked better...looks like its a normal fun space sim. Now it looks like a guy with a leather jacket staring blankly into space...oh well, i play the game, i dont rate the box though

Thats the problem in America, too much packaging. Everything comes with so much crap in it. You buy a cd player,the things got like a million little coupons and useless packets, big waste of paper.
