Strafing

Am I the only one that thinks there should be some kind of visual indication when you're strafing? Like some engine exhaust spewing out fire to your sides or something. I mean, the movement is so small that sometimes I can hardly tell I'm strafing. It'd also be nice if you can actually see the reverse thrust, and maybe the engine should really be off when you do engine kills.

Just a thought.

Yea, if you look at the stars they appear to be moving in the opposite direction as you're strafing. At least that's how I tell.

That's the only way to tell anyway. But then it's completely unnoticeable when you're flying and turning in combat.

the little itty bitty dust particles are 'sliding' as you strafe...and your finger is on the strafe key, thats a good indication

*If you have a cat and a dog in the same house, will that be a problem? Of course not, you might just have solved world hunger*

There was some smoke occasionaly, and the exhaust from your engines is visible to be a little offset.

ownage is such a capitalistic term.

when you reverse thrust you speed drops to -15 and when you strafe if you are near an object (station etc.) you will indeed see yourslef moving from side to side

stafing was just incorperated for you to attack stationary objects like baces and battleships stafing slowly while in a dogfight will do you no good. unless its a super shaky-handed noob!
