Still we haven't had many people bitching about the lack of a joystick lately, though it may have something to do with Gib's sticky post but then again it may not. Just a thought.

perhaps they just came to terms with it, because the releasedate is imminent

My personal opinion is that the demo will only hurt for those who are a little bit shallow and actually judge a game by its demo. Some people are just easily startled and run off as fast as they can, but most will probably see through this all and buy the game to see what out there...and beyond

There is no way to have the rogues like you in the demo...

Whatever I do, I can not land on theyre base..

I can land on the Junkers but not rogues..

Has anyone landed on the rogue base in the demo? if so, please tell me how you got on theyre "good" side.

I must have killed 10 police and 10 navy to no avail. they still were in the red..??!

It's too close to call. it convinced me to buy it and convinced others I know not to. Most common complaint is the poor enemy AI in the demo, coupled with reports that it doesn't really improve, just the odds you face. Lack of radar, dynamic trade prices and joystick were other cited reasons.

Most of them seem to have given the demo a good work-out so fair enough if they don't buy it.

For me FL is going to be a bit of action and adventure I can turn to when I don't want to think too much. Hope it arrives today, hope postman leaves it with neighbours and I don't have to wait until tomorrow when i can get it from the depot.

I think it would definately help *IF* the game was out in the stores. You play the first mission and think 'wow it isn't half bad' and since it's in the stores I should definately go get it. Anyone knows that the first missions are usually tame in nature but nobody knows really how the rest of the gameplay is. Then you have the magazine reviews that always almost give 95% for anything and maybe a paltry low 85% for installation because they said you have to install DX9 or something rediculous.

Personally I used the hacked save game that has a 1 million limit. Then did a 3 step program.

1. Traded my butt off to bribe the junkers into my good books.
2. Took up a lot of missions killing Xenos until the Rogues thought I was okay.
3. Did my best not to kill any Rogues during the entire period, hard but do-able.
