I find that story somewhat hard to swollow Phoenix.

I haven't sold illegal stuff very much yet. So if you have a cargo load and you run into a base even if they caught you, if you sell everything on the base do they still attak you when you leave? or just if you have bad cargo?

Once they have sucessfully scanned your illegal cargo your ship's ID number is known by all the police at that waypoint. Apparently not all the police in the solar system though because I was safe at the Manhattan waypoint after being attacked at the Norfolk waypoint.

I did not sell my illegal cargo at the first station in Norfolk, where the police scanned me so I can't say 100% whether they would have attacked me or not had I sold it there. I could get twice the price on Manhattan so I made a run for it. As soon as I left the station laser fire started pounding me.

However, once I sold the drugs on Manhattan, I headed back to the Norfolk waypoint with an empty cargo and they still attacked me. So I'm betting that it doesn't matter whether you get rid of the illegal cargo. You have to "clean" everything by getting rid of the ship since they have it's unique signature.

Once I traded my ship for a similar one on Manhattan I could travel to Norfolk safetly. Hehe very fun.

Well i had somewhat of a boring adventure myself, i have the demo and i was docking at Ft. Bush when i accidentally shot my weapons, and they hit the station So i docked and did some stuff, got upgrades ect. I left the station and the instant i gained control of my ship every ship in that sector started shooting me I ran to the gate to manahattan and flew outta there after using about 8 shield batteries and nanobots. For about the rest of the time i was playing that character, everytime i went through that area of the sector, ft bush and that shipyard as well as every othere ship would shoot me! it sucked... Anyways i logged off for the night and the next day i was playing late in the evening and Ft. bush and the baltimore shipyards were, well, nice to me. didnt shoot me or anything...
