Background keeps rotating...

despite being space everything is layed out on one axis. going up or down so far ive found nothing in those directions. it reorientates you so that you know where you are in the game so your not lost in space.. (just turn left or right to see a planet or some fixture in space) this is to give you some idea where you are instead of letting you hunt in a circle for 30 seconds to find which way to go.

Try moving away from the spot where you are continuously autoleveling. I think it is trying to autolevel, but got caught in a loop where it can't find the right orientation.

I ran across it in the Gold copy I got. The only way I got out of it was to move say a click away from that "spot."

it seems to happen more near bases and planets. I guess i'll just have to stay in space and not land

Some of the key configs may have to be set before you can use it. I noticed in the PR version the hail button was not working by default. And yes autoleveling is so you don't waste time trying to figure out what way to go.
