Comments on the FL demo

What a lot of hot air that has been floating around the forums since the FL demo came out. Quite frankly, I wish a lot of people would wait and play through the entire game - rather than just a tiny fragment of it in the demo - before making comments. I'd like to say that I've played the FL demo and will it's not perfect (name a game that is by the way?) it so far excceds any of the most recent space-sims on the market. Sure it is not going to satisfy everyone, but I for one would like to say GREAT JOB to the FL designers. Can't wait for the "real" game to be out next week!

the whole point of having demos is so that people can test the game and decide whether or not to purchase it with their hard earned money. many places and people do not have the benefit of broadband connections or subscriptions to magazines which will carry the demo on cd and for financial reasons of some kind or another can not devote the time to download the 150mb demo via dialup.

what you suggest negates the whole point of having demos in the first place.

Excellent comment Buster_O!

I think if a player wants to make a comment about the demo...then that is ok. But all these guys putting down the full version based on a day or two of play and illegal copies ticks me off.
