Can you disable trade lanes?

I have the demo and love the game already, I have found every little thing to do to amuse myself while prolonging the inevitable advancement to level 2, and I was wondering. I haven't tried, but is there anyway for you to disable a trade lane or is that some mystic skill that only the low level rogues can do because of their stupidity.............or mine, whatever.

shoot the frames, you may have to get fairly close depending on the range of your weapon.

You'll see a blue "hitpoint" bar decreasing when you're hitting it.
It will disable with a bright flash.
