Freelancer Demo Download Alternative

I'm not sure whether this is known, but I found an alternative to download the FL demo !! It on a French site called Clubic.

It immediatly begins downloading, so it certainly beats the waiting line FP has to offer !!

AFAIK the demo is in Enlish

I'm not really sure, because I'm having some download problems, but the site says it's the Enlish demo, so.....

BTW, they also have some nice screens
and also a vid (which most of us already have seen, but still...)

The Ezpad is so Fileplanet can control what you download from them. In fact ..you must be connected to thier web site in order to play the exclusive demo. Without the cd code from them you can not play the demo. Hopefully sometime today the regular non BS demo will be available for download. I refuse to use anything from Fileplanet or Gamespy.

That's pants! I just have a dial-up at home, and I don't want to keep my phone line open whilst I'm playing

Just checked the file sizes between the fpl and The french site downloads and they are slightly different (about 50 bytes) so not sure if this means it is the same file as the fpl one or not, not sure.
