Exactly, I've spent a bit less than that, around 12 hours. But lets be generous and say you can spend 3 hours seeing everything in a system and there are 48 systems then that equates to 144 hours of gameplay and that's without really doing anything much.

But honestly do you really plough through a single mission campaign then uninstall the game and toss the cd in the deep dark depths of your draw never to be seen again?? That's the joy of Freelancer you can keep on playing until you've seen everything and you've had enough, which could range anywhere from 40 hours (if you love to plough through a game and then throw it in a draw) or 700+ hours (if your a screwball like Stinger who has to know everything about the game )

Anything over 20 hours worth of gameplay get's me pretty excited these days
