Well it's GOOD that you're a poor man! However you still have (Somewhere around $6,000) and can get money in these, it's just that you are worthless.

Since the game calculates your worth to level you up to lvl 2, since it is negative (Somewhere around -$400,000) you will never level up, thus never be kicked from the game!

It is just a demo and you are going to have to start all over again with the full version anyway. What is the big deal with having to play again in the demo? The purpose to play the demo is to get a feel for the game and practice the controls until the full version is released. You could just not sell any more when you are close to your level and fly around to your heart's content? But sence I do not have the demo...I could be missing something. If that is the case..I apologize ahead of time.

I have noticed a problem that I havent seen without those save games. The loot button stops appearing and if you try targeting the loot and tractoring it manualy it says tractor failed.

I think it depends on what you're tractoring...

Like if it is commodities, I think it might not tractor it in since you have -10,000 of a commodity in your hold it won't let you get any more.


I haven't been able to tractor in any commodities, but everything else has been fine. So if you like to mine or be a lane pirate and raid trade vessles, you might be out of luck with these saves. Though I think you can still trade because I think you can still buy commodities, but you just can't pick any more up.

Doesn't matter TOO much, you don't get much money from the comodities in the demo anyway...

BTW, I use the "Tractor All Nearby Loot" hotkey, so you might want to try that too if you're having trouble with the button appearing. But I still don't think it will tractor in any more commodities...

How did you edit the .fl?

Well, first I tried editing it directly but I think it is heavily encrypted because I didn't get anywhere trying it that way.

Then I traced value changes WHILE the game was running and changed them that way and saved it.


So I didn't actually edit the save files themselves, but I altered the values in the memory.

What happens if you up the level beyond 2?

After level 2 the demo ends and you have to start a new game

Right, but I mean, have you tried just skipping to level 3? Was just wondering if DA set the "stop demo" function to run if the level = 2, and not >= 2.
