Hm... i just did some pirate runs on tradelanes. I disabled them, destroyed incoming transporters and grabbed their cargo. I did this multiple times and now the whole Manhatten area, including Liberty Police and all civil ships in that part of the New York system, hates me. The funny thing is: i can't see any changes in my reputation. According to my rep statistics the police likes me almost to the max. Is this normal or are reputation changes also limited in this demo? Or does it take much more action to change anything?

I think the story missions change stuff for you. I know that after one mission later in the game, a ton of my factions were reset the neutral, so the story could continue as it is supposed to.

I posted it in another topic, but it's relevant to the conversation here. Somehow, when I gave myself 1,000,000 credits, it bumped the required worth for level 2 up to like 1,024,000 credits, so it would be incredibly hard to actually reach level 2 in the demo. If people are interested, I'll see about making a save file right after you land on Pittsburgh with that set. I could probably even find a way to just change the level requirement, if you don't want to "cheat" and have a lot of money. If nothing else, I could jack up the money to raise the limit, then lower it back down. Let me know and I'll put it up for download.

SirCarcass: That would be great. I'm having a lot of fun just trading around the system and exploring, it would be nice to be able to keep doing it without the game suddenly ending.

Okay, here they are. Just right-click the link, then Save Target As, then save them in your SinglePlayer folder (which should be under My Documents\My Games\Freelancer Trial\Accts).

Extended Level Limit With Lots of Money

Extended Level Limit With Normal Money

A word of warning, though. After doing my cheat methods, my display corrupts everytime I exit Freelancer, requiring a restart. I don't know if it's because of what I did, or something related to my computer. Use at your own risk (doesn't mess anything else up).
