I cannot believe how frigging pissed I am right now... I was 5 minutes from finally being able to DL, the ****ING thing just loses conn, I hit refresh 3 times, no go, then it pops me back to the "Would you like to wait in line" page. Omfg. I want to hurt something.

Don't blame fileplanet if you dont't have a decent internet connection. I had no problems whatsoever. Neither in the waiting line nor with the actual download.

Well...just forget about Fileplanet and dl the demo Monday like I am..another two days is not going to kill you. I for one refuse to subscribe or have to log into FilePlanet's servers to download anything, even if it is free. I do not like sending a lot of personal info over the net to unsecure servers and needing a dang key to play a demo!! That is stupid. And if Microsoft makes me go thru that kind of crap...I will just wait for the full version.

My connection is a cable modem, which is always reliable except for outtages that rarely happen and require half a day to repair.

The point is moot however. I wont be getting my demo from FP.

Lev Arris - FilePlanet is crap. The wait thing is total BS, it's actually generated by a script on their servers and there really is no wait time, it's just yet another gimmick by GameSpy Industries to get you to hand over all your cash.

Come on guys. I don't have a subscription either. But don't complain if you're not willing to fork over the money for premium service.

I didn't say that i approve the way fileplanet runs it's business (letting people pay for advertisement is indeed strange, the game publishers should pay fileplanet). I just said that i had no problems with downloading the demo and that you just can't blame fileplanet for everything, as well as a perfectly fine cable modem doesn't necessarily guarantee a good connection to a certain server. There may have beene other factors that made it impossible to download the demo. Factors fileplanet wasn't responsible for.

Cool it no need to threaten death or other bodily harm. It's FREE, and that means you KNOW you're paying by some other means. They don't owe you anything, and no one's pointing a gun to your temple telling you to download.

You really need to get a hold of yourself and not let a computer game upset you this much. I hope a lot of people get the demo downloaded from Fileplanet so the other mirrors of the demo servers will not be so overloaded so much for the normal demo monday...*grins.
