Now that I've heard so much about how cool the game is gonna be I'm beginning to worry that it'd probably require some super extra hi-tech PC to run. Anybody knows what the minimum system requirements for FL are or where I can find the info on them?

Click me!

One of illustrious beta testers had it running on a PII 450 though. Let's say FL is pretty low spec friendly.

Edit: Oops there is an error in the FAQ, you'll need DX9 now.

MIn system requirements;

600 hz processor
128 meg of ram
16 meg video card
1 geg hard drive space

And directx 9. Whch by the way has not caused me any problems with any of the games I have tried so far. Old ones and new ones. PLayers would have a lot less problems with thier games if they would stop running all those stupid background programs..virus checkers, ICQ, Messenger, fancy screensavers, etc.

The game runs on my P3 550. I can put the details to maximum but I can only push the resolution to 1024x768x32. I notice a little slowdown when there's a whole bunch of ships around me (like ten or more).

Let's get those missiles ready to destroy the universe!!

A P3 550? I have a P3 933. How much memory and what kind of video card are you using. Generally it's the video card that makes all the difference. I'm using a lowly GeForce 2, 32mb. It'll probably do, but hope I don't lose out on too much, like I did with Morrowind.
