Ordering Info for the Germans

I asked Okaysoft if they will sell the US version of Freelancer. They said they will. Here are the facts:

They want 58,90 EUR (shipping and handling not included!) and it will be available as of March 7th. I know that's pretty expensive but i think i will order there.

Disclaimer: i'm in no way connected with okaysoft so this is no advertising, i just wanted to inform fellow fans about a source for the game.

Wow!!!!!!!!!!!!
58,90 EUR without shipping????!!!! Thats at least 120 DM !!!!! Remember that Lev!

I hate the Euro - Keep the £!

I know that. But US imports unfortunately are this expensive. If i wanna have the game 1 month sooner, i have to pay the price and i'm willing to do so. If it were a normal game i would wait this extra month, but it's Freelancer for crying out loud!

You thought Okaysoft is expensive? i just checked the Joysoft link of the main page. They want 64.90 EUR for the US version (without shipping)! You do the math.

Dammit! They´ll start shipping it on March, 7th, which is a Friday. This means you can expect the game to arrive on Tuesday, 11th. That means a totally wasted weekend! Can´t they just start shipping it two days earlier?

If I can´t get my hands on a retail version very soon I´ll climb the walls of my house! In other words: who do I have to shoot to play final Freelancer?

:Edit

@ Lev

Thanks. It's the AS-5 Proteus and was created by the Croatian 3D artist Kristijan Petrovic. He used to have a webpage a few years ago, but it doesn't work anymore. Dunno what he's up to now.

Thx for the info @Lev Arris

Would have ordered it there anyway, but didn't know this US-import stuff. Good job
Btw: Does anybody know what kind of box it will be sold in? I'm trying desperately to avoid buying top games in DVD-boxes, so this is quite important for me..
I guess the English and German versions ship in DVD-boxes, US in a REAL box..
Any info regarding that point?

Thanks go to Mad Dog for hosting this pic!

Yes Mandrill,
the german version will be a DVD-Box and the US-Version a standard box.
I dont really mind what kind of box it is, but I want to have a nice manual.
And maybe some extras, like posters, cards whatever.
If there is chance to get those things, than probably only in the US-Version, because you wont get it in a small DVD-Box.

pcfun.de also lists the american version, for the 6.3.03 (as well as the German one for mid April). No price though. Shipping costs are EUR5 if you pay by credit card (Okaysoft charges only EUR3.25).
