Mouse!

Works better than I thought it could, tried both ball and optical. Optical rocks, ball gets goo'd up quick in its inner workings. The PR advanced copy is great! But if you heed Juni's calls too quickly, the game will be over too fast. I got as far as the game goes in a Dromedary frieghter. Frieghter is just another word for even more sluggish very heavy fighter(IMHO). Other than that, anything else would be spoiler information.

Yeah, I really like the control scheme after using it. Ecspecially being able to click on any object to high light it. Works very well I think.

When I play the full game I think I am not going to do the story missions until the latest posible time I can.

So far there's only a couple small things I don't care for in the control scheme. I had a little trouble creating weapon groups, I could do it, but it takes a couple tries and they get messed up when you land sometimes. I hope this is only an issue in the beta and got fixed in the gold copy. The other thing I don't like is that I can't seem to find keyboard shortcuts for the target filters. It's not a big deal either, but it's a little annoying if you have your filter set on stations and then you want to get important stuff and you move your mouse down and go into a spin before you can hit the icon.

All the things that really mattered about the control scheme worked awesomely.

Let's get those missiles ready to destroy the universe!!

You should turn off mouse flight if you need to interact with the hud, unless you're in combat or something.

I had a hard time with the hard point groupings. Something I'm sure will be fixed in retail.
