I also really hope that FL will sell well, but I'm not sure if there really are that many Elite/privateer/FL fans out there? Sad.

It may have something to do with the lack of quality *spacesim titles ever made...lets hope FL will change all that and start a new spacesim goldenage

The game should be playable out of the box though Deadreak, and IMHO it's not

I tried a few mods, some were okay and some weren't too great, only found a couple good ones really

Morrowind itself is interesting for a couple weeks, that is, before you've played every class and seen just about everything in the game ( which really doesn't take that long , even if you're not "power gaming" ).

Hmm, I don't agree. I am hardcore RPG fan and it took me 3 weeks to finish game as a mage, joining mage guild, one of the houses and imperial cult. Guess we have different tastes, also I didn't wait for the game what so ever, maybe this why enjoy it so much.

Anyway, did developers say anything about some kind of editor in FL, which will be shipped with a game?

No editor will be shipped with FL, with unfortunately.

And going off topic ( again ), pretty much all of my friends who had in fact, NOT waited for Morrowind enjoyed it more than I did. I guess all the hype ruined it for me, because it sure didn't live up to my expectations.

Imagine this, people who waited for FL for years and had chance to test it say that they liked the game. I can only guess what will happen to me

Yeah, Tasiin, I did used to post there.

Ah, that must be why I recognized your name then.

I've got Morrowind and Tribunal, and theyre great and all. But I mean in Freelancer I won't have to walk! Yayhoo! And I'll get more than 3 attacks in a Diabloesque system
Not knocking Morrowind btw, it's just gonna be so cool to travel around in a ship, with no more marathon walking sessions.

I liked Morrowind as well, I became a fan MONTHS before it went gold and I still play it on and off every few months, there is some good mods out there that take the lifeless ugly NPCs and replaces them with better looking models, called Rhedd's heads and NPCReplace 3.0.

But I am not much of an RPG fan as I used to be and the game lost most of it's charm that it had the first several weeks of play due to the lifeless NPCs, empty roads (unless you count maybe 4 or 5 scripted encounters), and is now mostly just boring. I only hope Freelancer won't fall into the same fate, as I have read in most of these previews, it seems like it's going to be great and exactly what I am looking for in a open non-linear space-sim.

My thoughts exactly CGDreamer, Bethesda apparently forgot that RPGs are supposed to be about character interaction, because that was the *least* stressed part of the game. And what genius came up with the idea of using HTML hyperlinks for conversation? That is SO dull. The combat got to be a snore after a while too, far too easy to steal a few valuable items, train yourself to insanely high levels and just bulldoze all the monsters.
