Will there be movies between missions?

Hi, I was wondering will there be movies between missions when you complete them, like Privateer 2?

During the course of the main story line missions..the game will have several movies. I think I read somewere over 3 hours of in game movies are in Freelancer.

Sound Cool , cant wait till Freelancer comes out

Be advised: we are talking about IN GAME cinematics (utilizing the 3D engine), so there are NO FULL MOTION videos like in Privateer 2. Maybe the way WhiteTiger put it (movies) is a little bit misleading. As far as i know there is only one real movie sequence which is the Intro.

Sounds okay to me, I know Freelancer is not FMV, that okay because I know computer games are going with cgv characters and it doesn't bug me at all.

I think if game engine is nice enough, why not use cut-scenes? I think Freelancer looks very good and cut-scenes will be perfect in it, but there is one problem. I played Unreal 2 recently, and it has nice graphics, but TERRIBLE cut-scenes. It depends on the imagination of developers I guess.

the opening cutscene will be a FMV and probably the ending one, but i dont think that there are any that you get to watch in the middle

Yes I know they are not movie clips like they done in Privateer. Maybe I should have explainded that better..but movies do not have to have live actors to be classified as a "movie clip". And I did read more than once or twice that Freelancer had over 3 hours of in game cinamatics.

I'd imagine the 'cinematic sequences' other than into/ending perhaps would follow the Starlancer model.

The movies are used with the game's engine. You can see a lot of stills from the movies in the screenshot sections. Anything with black bars on the top and bottom, like letterbox, is from a cutscene.
