"Evil" missions?

Question: Will there actually be missions in FL for people on the wrong side of the law? Now, I'm not talking about "smuggle contraband"-story-missions à la Privateer , but going to a pirate base, and getting a random mission to , for example, take out a police officer or a rival group of pirates?

Oh, and another thing: Will your reputation with a certain faction actually affect your reputation with them? Can your improve your rep by doing missions for a specific faction?

yeah your faction reputation really affects your reputation with that particular group. If you got extremely bad faction rating with rhineland, if ya go into thier systems they will be gunning for you. You can improve your faction ratings with them by bribing them, attacking thier enemies and what have you.

Yep, everything you asked is right the way you put it That's what makes FL so very special (I hope ). Everything you do affects your reputation so should think before your killing that annoying policeman

There's a decent faq-section on TLR. Try it out, I'm sure it will answer a lot of your questions.

Yeah, some of the most lucrative missions are unlawful ones

does your rating also effect the types of ships you can buy?

The brain is a wonderful organ; it starts working the moment you get up in the morning and does not stop until you get to the office.

Well, if a faction REALLY hates you but you want to buy their ship, then you're outta luck cuz then you cant land on their bases to buy the ship. So then, yes, your reputation does affect the ship you can buy.

Since the trade lanes are manufactured by Ageira tech whihc is liberty if I'm not mistaken, if you are not on goodstanding with liberty are you banned from using tradelanes...and if you are does that apply to space that belongs to other houses as well?

They build them, but they don't own them. A corporation or house must buy them before they are constructed. But no, you can't be limited from using hostile structures. Kind of weird.

So, are their Pirate based missions?

If you are in bad standing with a faction are you actually banned or can you still land on a base providing you get past all the cops of course? Some thing like you can land on the base but you have to hurry becasue they will be after you if you take to long to leave, kind of a wham bam thank you ma'am.

If it possible to sneak into enemy space? Maybe some kind of cloaking device or scanner blocker?

Oh-yeah, and is it possible to meet used ship or black market ship dealers? So you could buy any ship you want as long as the dealer has them in stock.

If you are in bad standing with an enemy they will try to kill you so you wont be able to land it;ll just say that the planet/base is hostile

there are no cloacking devices or scanner blockers, teh best way to sneak in is to avoid patroll paths

About the ships dealer ... no
