What kind of upgrades can you do to your ship???

Peet-Air, trust me you need to upgrade your thrusters. I've been playing the Sneak Preview Demo for a day now, and I saw the Thruster upgrades in the equipment stores. I thought hey why would I need those, I know they are a more advanced class than the ones I have, but hey I don't neeeeeeed those.

WRONG!!!! There are now plenty of times when in a furball fight were upgraded thrusters will catapult you way out of danger. Some of the enemy ships are a lot
faster than what you have and even using the thrusters that came with the ship won't get you away from them. You definitley need to Upgrade those Thrusters.

From memory (at least in First encounters and I think Elite II) you had to buy a mining laser which was pretty useless against ships, but nice and effective for mining

Plus there was planetary mining... which meant a manual landing on a planet *gulp* never did quite perfect those

Always fun to get the cops after you by mining an inhabited world

Further imput on the Thrusters. They don't actually give you more speed just a longer burn time. So the reason these ships were keeping up on my butt was that my Thrusters had stopped. So really you still have to upgrade.

Do thrusters recharge, or are they fuel capacity based i.e. when you are out, that's it until you land/refuel?

nah you just have a seperate meter with thruster power, it runs down when you use the thruster and recharges when you stop thrustering
