Europe

Is there a kind American person out there that would send me a copy, can't really wait until April for UK release. I thought I'd pop over on Concorde but at £2K per trip it sort of puts the price of games in perspective.

Unless anyone knows a mail order place that would ship to the UK. Tried Amazon and EB, both say no to shipping outside of US.

e-mail me with proposal for payment.

Cheers

Andi.

checkout theese then:

http://www.interactcd.com
http://www.dvdboxoffice.com
and even a brit site

http://www.sps-systems.co.uk/trolleyed/news.htm

The top one has FL listed for March 10th, shipping can be done via airmail.
The others don't have FL listed, but there was talk on this forum about both of them, dvdboxoffice ships for free

here in Belgium, games are (almost) always the US/UK release with sometimes a manual in dutch
so i can't really see why UK, Belgium and Netherlands have to wait more then a month... just release the thing!

Post Sun Feb 09, 2003 2:09 am

There will be no dutch manual, well i didnt see one on the beta CDS there are the german and french, which are pretty standard in europe, and then there are no other languages. that i can remember, but def. not a dutch one

I know someone who is working in the States now and he's coming back to the Netherlands around 15th of March.
So when he left I looked at him with my big puppy eyes and asked him if he could bring me a copy
All I can do is hope he will remember.

But yes, the whole Europe-late-release sucks.
Its getting more and more common policy
Just give me an English version of the game and manual and **** the French and Germans (no offense) heh.

Yeh im a brit i speak english i read english so why the F**K do we have to wait for the F**kING frogs and gerys {no Offence} versions . As i see it we do not have the euro
we are not european we are brits AND WE WANT FL NOW ,i just can't understand the delay.Sorry fo going off on one but i have to vent my frustration somewere.

Post Sun Feb 09, 2003 6:14 pm

Hmm you are right, but generaly everything like movies, medicin, etc. has been released in the US first andd then we have to wait for a month or even more.. I think i'll move to the states

Post Sun Feb 09, 2003 6:58 pm

Please! Do so
Afte 4 years of waiting, what's another month?

Post Sun Feb 09, 2003 7:04 pm

Id just like to ask an american how thay would feel if it was the other way round,
and we got fl first.I cant imagine thay'd be to happy, 6 weeks for gods sake.I will send to the us for it, buts thats not the point not everyone has the internet to send for it.

Post Sun Feb 09, 2003 7:06 pm

At least nonone of you live in the hell hole that is Ireland. WE have to wait till the ewnglish version is priced in Euros and at about 15% more than in germany etc.

Post Sun Feb 09, 2003 7:42 pm

Probably if they released it in Europe first, just about everyone who wanted it in the US would warez it. I doubt many people here would wait for the official release. Gut then again, in our world, it'd never happen for a game that is as popular and (in?)famous as FL

First there have been cases when games were release in Europe first, usually when the developer is european.

The fact is the US market is probably larger then the EU market, game wise.

Now why bitch and moan about the extra time till local release? You want it that bad? Talk to a local game retailer habe have him import it for you, cost you extar obviously. Or just order it from an online store in the US that doesn't force you to ship courier. Might not be as exspensive as you think.

Frontpage now says this:

--- Release Dates ---
USA: March 4th
France: April 18th
Germany: April 18th
Rest of Europe: March 28th
Australia: March 24th

That means March 28th for me ! ! !
Yippie !
