...About freelancer. I sure am. The anticipation is killing me. Weve been waiting for 3 years and the release is only a month away. It should be going gold in the next 2 weeks. I plan on buying it the day it comes out cuz i have the miney all saved up.

I'm really excited! Been looking forward to the day I finally load FL on my comp for god knows how long now. Can't wait to peel off the shrinkwrap... Breath in that new game smell... Hehe

I'm new to this forum and the space-sim in general. I have Tachyon-The Fringe, and I just bought Starlancer for 2 dollars at EB. I still have time to play StarLancer before Freelancer comes out.
Is Freelancer anything like NeverWinter Nights, just in space?
How can I get one of those portraits on my profile also?

I was suprised when spaceghost was not already taken, it was my favorite classic cartoon.

Well, I've had starlancer for a while and I just installed it and Im hoping to finish it before freelancer comes out. Guess ill have to take a brake from Mech 4 mercenaries, Iwar 2, tachyon, and star trek: bridge commander.

Whew, you a busy man. I tried MW4, but like MW3 and Pirates Moon better. So I stopped following the Mechwarrior games. I didn't like the new graphics.
What is I-War? Is it like I-Robot from Alan Parsons?

Independence War 2 is a very good space sim.
At first It will probably give you the illusion that its very free form, But be warned this is just an illusion. Other than that its one of the best games I've ever played. Its definitly worth a shot and it has killer graphics.

I'll have to see if I can find Independence War 2. I assume there was an Independence War 1, was that any good?
I have to play Starlancer, so far I am having alot of fun with it, I'm up to mission 3 I think. I wonder if I should waste my time in IWAR if Freelancer is coming out soon. I don't want to get burnt out before I get there.

I-War 2 is a good game indeed, however it is a tad bit long and would not be worth starting now because chances are you'd still be engrossed in it and Freelancer would come out and then of course you'd have to stop playing in order to play the work of art that Freelancer will be.

Just started playing Starlancer today. Im on mission 6. And by the way I war 1 is good but a bit confusing at times. Its alos quiet annoying that you have to have a 3dfx card to run it in accelerated mode( Pats his Voodoo 5 tantalizingly). Id definately check out I war 2 though. But like someone said it is quite long.
