I was on Moddb and did a sarch for Stargate mods and The Stargate Ship mod For Freelancer poped up so i took a look at it and it looked cool. So i went over to Gamespot and downloaded the demo and played it. Fell in love with it after that. Ordered of off Target.com and have been playing for about 4 months now i believe. I dont know how i ever lived with out it.

I found Freelancer about 3 years ago loved it then decided to try it with a Mod.... Well at the time the mod I picked was Freelancer The Next Generation.. Not that I'm bashing modders but at the time the Ancients and Shadows pissed me off.. Now that I have played for a bit longer I realize that back then that I just sucked at the game. Now that I know where to get the better Mods I cant see the end of Freelancer for me anytime in the future.

My family and I were out shopping for school supplies at an Office Max for my 8th grader just this Aug (07) and I saw it in thier bargin bin for $9.95.
I remembered seeing the ads for it when it came out but didn't think much of it then as we were big SW Galaxies players back then, but figured at under $10.00 it was worth a look and boy is it great. Fact is I did a space fight comparision with SWG and FL yesterday and FL won hands down.
Both my middle son and I play at home and we sent a copy to my oldest for his birthday. He just told us tonight that he hit level 5 and has his first heavy fighter. He got a slower start than us since as he just got internet today and even though the box says "instruction manual included on disk" none of us could find it and he didn't know how to play.
I've pointed him at this site and the Drunken Lancer's for manual info to get him up to speed.

I played the demo on a C-D that i got out of a cool magazine named Krash (And still collecting since first copy). After that, i loved it and begged my mum to get it for me and guess what, it popped up as one of my christmas presents from Santa in 2004 (I know Santa is my parent's). Then i only played the first mission of the REAL Freelancer C-D, because i played it on the demo. Then came out another Krash C-D and it had Impossible Creatures on it (Which i liked), and i begged for my mum but she said "Why don't you just play the other game i got you?". So i did and loved it since then. After that in 2005 i read a Freelancer Walkthrough on GameFAQ's by JMak2000 and then it leaded me here, to this site. All the rest is Blah, Blah and Blah!
