Corsairs faction hostile but fighters white

I don't understand it, I finished the story line and I am trying to get better with the outcasts to get a Sabre on Malta. Somebody wrote here its good to take missions against corsairs for example. I took several missions and killed every corsairs I encountered, but the rep moved only several pixels and then incomprehensibly moved back toe the red extreme

How is that possible? Did I something wrong? ANother interesting thing is, that even when the corsairs faction is maximally enemy for me, they are always white when I encounter them

Only when I shoot them, they become red, but another group of corsairs is white again

Maybe I must not take missions from the enemies of outcasts (bounty hunters) to make them have positive influence on rep with outcast... :-\ What should I do?

Try bribing somebody at a base to get friendly with the Outcasts. You don't really have to be all that friendly to buy from a faction, just not hostile or nearly so.

p.s. I've often been friendly with both the Outcasts and Corsairs.

A bribe would be the best solution, but you also can kill GMG or Bounty Hunters to get Outcasts neutral/friendly.
Killing Xenos in Colorado or in Kepler is a solution as well.

p.p.s. Just remembered ... you can also buy a Sabre from the Red Hessians at a certain base. I'll let you hunt for it. Hint - it's a long way from Outcast space.

Killing GMG is actually probably your best option. It gets you friendly with outcasts and corsairs... with a bit of work you can stay at least neutral to the bounty hunters... this will give you unlimited reign over the border worlds... something very very handy to have when travelling there.
