Mods, mods.. the ethernal search..

All right, I asked for that before, but now I'm looking for something *new* as crossfire doesn't give what I'm looking for.

Well, I've finished the story and I'm looking for specific mods wich give specific stuff to the game, nor more. I'm not going to play yet mp, so if the mod it's tested in SP and it works, fine for me. And, of course, if the mod it's compatible with a vanilla game saved game, much better, as I want to continue the game I started.

-> Buyable and balanced capital ships.
-> Buyable tractor beams, scanners and more cool hardware for the ship.
-> Maybe new fighters/weapons/etc
-> Not new systems, as I have not found all the original systems, but that's not a big problem..
-> Joinable factions. I don't know if there are some mod wich allow you to become a bounty hunter, a corsair or even a member of any corporation/security force, assing related missions and all that stuff, so if there's any, I would like to know about it.
-> NO ai improvement. I'm happy with the original bad guys ai, so keep it as it. Or just an ai wich don't use nanobots/shield batteries..
-> No added story. As I said before, I'm just exploring the restant sistems and don't wanna (yet) install other mods such hostile universe. First the vanilla universe, then the rest.
-> That's a bit freak, but I would like some kind of "star wars balanced ships" and maybe a "freespace universe ship pack", as I have seen some of the terran fighters of that game.

All right, now I have the aim on Polaris, for the battleship stuff and the epsilon for almost the rest of things I want, but if there are any other better and more compatible mod, I would like to know about it.

Maybe you should just play the vanilla freelancer to completion first, and then try some of the mods that make these changes? Best to appreciate the original in all its glory than trundle around as mods that pretty much ruin it imo!

*Sigh* If you insist-

Evolutions 1.30- that particular mod should give you what you want,as far as Cap ships, etc- and , a major contributor ( if not outright genius) is our very own Be(insert favorite adjective)loved Chips and the team that contributed- if you really wanna blow off the glory of the game As It Was Concieved, then this one should do it for ya...

But you should really reconsider, simply because how can you know where it's going, if you dont realize where it came from? And if you dont know where it came from, how can you decide if it's "cool"?

That, and it's a real good idea to learn to crawl before you walk, or run- just makes it easier that way

They use nano bots/shield bats - and have had the AI tweaked slightly... not exactly what he's looking for, but thanks for the superlatives

Well, I wanna add some stuff to the game just to make it deeper in some aspects that, as I said before, I think the game have deep lacks (not in the story, but in the "free game" and would like to increase the game experience by new goods for the ship, new ships or new points of view on the game controlling (capital ships, as freighters are good for few trade routes). Thanks anyway for the answers, I'll try evolutions then, as the two mods I've mencioned after are not compatible with my save game,
