FireFly MOD
Here’s what I’ve been thinking it could have.
Remember CORRECT to the FireFly universe:
* No shields.
* Only some ships have weps, and pretty basic ones at that. (Maybe three weapon types: Flak Cannon, Machine Guns and Missiles)
* Weapons will have buyable ammo
* Only 1 system (but Huge) like 5 times bigger than the NY system atleast.
* Plannets in the system will be grouped together into "Quadrants" (maybe 3-5 plannets + moons to a quadrant). And each Quadrant will be seperated by vast distaces. This both makes it easyer for people to start of tradeing locally (that dont have cruise) & also validates the "One system verse" to fit in with FF mythology.
* No Nanno Bots/Shield Bats.
* Less ship encounters in outer territories, more in inner worlds.
* Less Gun play and more trade based.
* LARGER planets/suns. (Huge sized plannets)
* Unique scanners/engines for the different ships.
* No trade lanes/Jump gates/jump holes (Free flight only).
* Not all ships would have "Starburst" ie. Cruise
* Only some ships will have thrusters
* All Known FF Planets/Bases/Stations.
* Less Quick fights. (More evasive action/Stronger ship hulls/Less weapon re-fire rate.)
* More personalized ship combat. (No more massive fighter groups of 20 fighters, 5 Max/But heaps Tougher to kill)
* Lots of unsolved conspiracies (ie. Blue Sun corp.)
* Derelict ships/destroyed bases/debris.
* All civilians in the outer territories are scavengers. (They will turn on you to get your cargo)
* Sensor upgrades (Especially sensors, cause i you can see bad guys comming and they can’t see you. You can get away)
* Reps alot Harder to repair.
* Lower Class Pirates may disengage from combat if u kill there leader.
* Reavers (on outer rim territories & that Planet Miranda)
* All Know FF commodities.
* All Know FF fractions.
* Custom Rumors (again blue sun/ earth that was etc.)
* Custom weapon Meshes
* Depleatable Fuel (Maybe) "We are still unsure as to what you will do if you run out of fuel" ATM your fuel will depleat, and it will auto refuel every time u dock.
* Buyable Crew (that when brought will improve your sensors/Armor/Speed)
* Custom Space stations (Niskas Skyplex etc)
* Buyable Deployable Marker bouys. For marking out area's/routes and just for fun.
* Missiles that can be seen when mounted on your ship, and that accually launch when fired.
* Custom HUD & starting location (Depending which fraction you choose to be at start up)
* Most Gun/Cannon type weapons will be fixed in place on the smaller ships, Makeing it a hell of a lot harder to line up a kill shot.
* Manned Turrents on the larger capital ships & bases. (Pilot mesh only)
If Possible
* Custom Main Menu with FF animation in the BG playing the FF theme song. (done)
* VTOL Engines working, with: speed “0” = engines facing down. (not possible)
* Cry Baby. Bought as an expensive commodity and jettisoned to attract near by AI ships. (Not possible)
