Wont let me play

for some reason, after reinstalling freelancer in order to rid my system of the 1.1 patch, when i click the icon, the black window with FREELANCER in white writing pops up, it disappears, and FL server starts up. even though it is already running. ive tried the freelancer.exe in the game folder to make sure that the desktop shoutcut was working properly, but the same thing happens.

Um, did you, perchance, accidentally install the dedicated server version of FL?

Easyest thing, uninstall it again, then open My Computer/c:drive/programs/Microsoft games/and delete the freelancer folder, then reinstall the game. It should cure the problem.
