need help with mod manager

I downloaded te mod manager and the HOVIS mod (because after 5 hours I am tired of trying) and now all my saved games are missing. I think I have them in a folder but the game will not see them to load.

PLEASE help. I would HATE to have to stop playing at this point.

They are still there, just a differnt folder. Go to My Docs/Mygames/Freelancer/accunts/singleplayer

You should see another folder in there with the saved game. You can move it back to the singleplayer folder and it will show when you start a game. BUT, you can't play a mod with another save. It will cause the game to crash. When you want to use a mod, you have to start new game with it, and its a good idea to delete the old saves too to prevent a crash, particularly the auto save.

If you are playing with different mods - and if you think about to continue later one day with that or that mod - then it is a good idea to make a copy of your save-games in a different folder.
FLMM does have a routine to save the save-games from different mods. But I have seen several examples where FLMM (or the mod itself ??) could not reestablish the old save games when the same mod was activated again.

If you dont want to copy all your save-games then just take the last two (and NOT the auto-saves !)

All the above is SP-related. In MP FL-Server identifies your character and the last save for each different mod.

Maybe my ship is too light.
I have issues like when the race starts I get bumped to the left far enough I miss the gate. Or my F2 engines shutdown and need to recharge.

I have had astroids bounce me off path and teh one time I was winning I was fired upon by the weapons platforms and again bounsed off the path.

Oh I am flying a Piranna

I did it on my second try. The trick is to be smooth - dont panic and get all tensed up. Just take it easy, be ready to shift+w when the cutscene ends, and glide through the hoops. Just practice.
